As
of November 2022, the Stamford National, Stamford American and Stamford North
Little Leagues have merged to become one Stamford Little League. Stamford Little League is now one of the largest Little Leagues in the
country. We are proud to serve our players
aged 4-12 and appreciate our volunteers, sponsors, and the support of our
broader Stamford community. Without you our great league could not happen.
For the 2026 Spring season and similar to 2025, Stamford Little League will
consist of two divisions for players aged 9-12. For these ages the American Division will practice
and play primarily on the fields at Scalzi Park, Vine Rd., West Beach, Kosciuszko
Park and Kane Ave. The National Division
will play mostly at Drotar park (Springdale), Chestnut Hill and Northrop Field. Players
aged 4-8 will participate in fully-merged age specific divisions and play at familiar elementary
school fields like Davenport Ridge, Northeast, Stillmeadow, Dolan, and the
softball fields at Scalzi Park.
Continuing players aged 10-12 in 2026 will play with their prior respective
divisions and there will not be any commingling of players, managers or
coaches. Each Division will have its own regular season and playoffs. Each
Division will have its own All-Star teams in the annual CT District 1
Tournament. Rising 9s (8 year-olds in 2025) will slot into either
division based on home address or school attended as described in the Division Boundary
map under the Registration Info tab on this website.
We
anticipate the summer and fall seasons will continue as fully-merged divisions
for players of all ages.
New
for 2026, the American and National Divisions will be managed by separate operating
boards with a combined senior Executive Board advising each operating board. We believe this will facilitate greater
efficiency for our volunteers while retaining the benefits of one Stamford
Little League. Our collective strong
voice in the city promotes an economy of resources; not to mention a Little
League name that promotes our great City.
In
short, expect the 2026 season to look much like 2025, but with additional
benefits of volunteer teams dedicated to each Division. We look forward to 2026 and are
already hard at work to make it the best season yet!
